We're OK part 5

The days seem to run together. We are still off of work/school. Last night, I noticed that Mary's left eye was swollen and red, and watering. I made an appointment for her to see the vet today, and he thought it might be a little infection. He gave us an ointment for her eye.

Corinne's eye was also red, so she went to the doctor, too. I guess today was the day I took everyone to the doctor. The only one that hadn't gone to the doctor is me, and I was supposed to go on Tuesday. I rescheduled my appointment for next week.

Last night we slept in our beds for the first time since the storm. It felt good to sleep in our own beds. And to sleep comfortably in A/C. I don't want to rub it in because some of my friends still don't have a power. I wish I could give them some of my power so that they can feel comfortable.

Kids here are off through the rest of the week, but I have to report to work on Friday. I think that's dumb. Why come one day? Let's make everyone off the rest of the week.

Funny thing. Yesterday, when they turned the power back on, one of the kids yelled, "Hey, we have lights!" Within a few minutes, all of the kids disappeared from the street. I guess they all went inside to watch TV or play video games.
