Monday, as I was driving home, Corinne called me and told me that Boampy didn't make it. Corinne had stayed home because she was sick, so she saw what was going on. She said all of the fish were doing fine after being put in the new home on Saturday. She fed them, they played, etc. Then, suddenly, Boampy took a turn for the worse. I guess the black stress marks he had on him were just too much, so he didn't survive. Currently, he is now in deep freeze in our freezer because we are going to take him back to see if they will replace him. We hate to think about replacing a pet, but what else can we do.
Meanwhile, Goldie and Stripers are doing fine. Goldie seems to have gotten used to being by himself. And Stripers, well, since he's a algae eater, he tends to stay at the bottom. But he's funny. Sometimes while I'm watching the fish from the kitchen, Stripers goes from the bottom of the tank and suddenly shoots straight up to the top of the tank, then back down to the bottom again. Strange!!!
I'm about ready to say let's just stay with these two fish, but Corinne wants to see if we can at least get one more fish. If the next fish dies, I'm going to seriously consider that Goldie is poisoning them.
RIP Boampy!!!!
