Well, we added some more fish to our aquarium. We went to PetSmart and bought Bompy (pronounced bowmpee) because that was my cousin's nickname, and because the fish kept bumping Corinne in the bag while we were taking him (or her???) home. Bompy is a goldfish. And we also bought Stripers, because this algae eater has two stripes on each side of him/her. (How do you know if the fish is a him/her?). Corinne wanted another Goldfish, and she definitely wanted an algae eater for the tank. We now are up to three fish.
Goldie was very happy with the additions. He (or she) seems very happy that he/she has a playmate now. Right now, they are just trying to get used to each other.
Now, the big thing is to watch the water level and PH/acidity levels in the tank. That's going to be important, especially when you add more fish to a tank.
Look at me, sounding like an expert. He, he. All I know is that when the lady asked which fish we wanted, both Corinne and I said that we wanted one that wasn't so stressed. (Almost all of the fish were stressed because they were turning black). We picked one that wasn't too stressed, and as soon as we got the fish away from the others, he/she started turning gold again. Amazing! When we got Bompy home, he/she was already normal gold color. It's amazing how quickly their colors turn! All in all, all fish seem to be happy.
